My Husband ROCKS!
FMD, an Update!
I had been doing so well at posting every day! But I did two the day before, and two today, so that makes up for missing posting yesterday, ya? Ya. I don’t care what you say, it does. So NYAH! So Family Morning Devotions. (Du duh duh…) We’re still doing them! A whole week! Woohoo! Go us. Ok, Go God, …

This is probably one of those “you had to be there” moments…
I’m going to try to relate something that happened this evening. I want to share it, because I don’t think I have EVER laughed so hard – I’m just not positive I have the ability to relay the events in a manner that will translate the humor. Here goes. Earlier this evening, we all sat around the table having dinner. …

Possibly the most frugal fun we’ve had.
Hubs and I ran in to Walgreens earlier to pick up a prescription, and noticed they had these collapsible thermal lunch bags for 2.99/each. We’ve been looking for ways to save money, and have heard our children complaining frequently about how much they hate school lunch. 2 birds, 1 stone. So we bought 3 bags, since we only have three …

FMD, Day 4. Who isn’t getting it?
I woke up this morning feeling really and truly awful. I’ve had a cold for a few days now, and I have so much pain in my sinuses, it makes my teeth hurt. When my alarm went off at 5:50 this morning, I hit snooze, knowing I could “afford” at least one snooze, but really wanting to turn the alarm …

Family Morning Devotions: Day 1
I’ve felt for awhile that along with the change that homeschool would bring, I wanted to create a more structured “morning routine” for our family that included a specific time for a morning devotion and prayer time before everybody went off to their days. With school about to start, this morning was our trial run. We got to bed later …

It’s the little things…
You know, they always say “it’s the little things in life that make it worth living”. I don’t know who “they” are, but I get it. The times when my husband stops to pick up chocolate covered strawberries on his way home, just because he knows it will make my day, the way Pez can get BonBon to laugh …

Following your heart…
Yesterday….yesterday was a “not good” day in parenting around these parts. Well, I guess I should say – the parenting – it was fine. The child requiring extra parenting attention? Not so great. Here’s the thing…with Pez’s ADHD, it will often take him HOURS to complete a simple task. All of the kids have simple household chores they are expected …

Faith and Love can move mountains.
He did it! My husband fixed our plumbing problem, which was NO small task. He’s also re-tiling the shower where tiles had to be removed for the fix, and he is re-caulking the tub, because the caulk he put in last time mildewed within three months. UGH. I’ve scrubbed and scrubbed with bleach – no luck. SO – new caulk! …

Every day is an opportunity to learn something new.
We have had a leak in our bathtub faucet for the last month or so. It started out as a drip. Then a heavy frequent drip. Then it was a persistent trickle. Over the last week it has become such a leak that we have to shut off our hot water whenever we are not bathing or doing dishes and …
